OUR LOCAL AREA
Bright is extremely popular due to it’s accessibility to a vast array of different outdoor facilities. During winter, we are a popular destination to visit the snow with Mt Hotham only 50km from our door, during Spring we have lots of hikers and mountain biking travellers due to our proximity to glorious hiking trails and mountain trails. In Summer Bright has the river where our guests float down on inflatable tubes, visit the many markets and shops Bright has to office and in Autumn with the changing of the leaves, Bright is brought back to life with wildly beautiful colours of the tree lined roads.
Bright has this and so much more! Here are a few things that we recommend you see and do in Bright which also include some festivals which you may not know are happening!

THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO VISIT
Ladies Baths Falls - Mt Buffalo
Just a short drive from our Motel, is the entrance to Mt Buffalo and it is here where you will find the beautiful Ladies Baths Falls. A short walk from the road, and you will come across pristine waterfalls and rock pools which are perfect to cool off in.
If you continue along, you can walk further up the side of the mountain another 700m or so and see the full length of the powerful waterfall. It's definitely worth the walk!

Underground River Cave - Mt Buffalo
For those who are more adventurous, Mt Buffalo has the most amazing underground river cave. Just a short walk from the viewing platforms at the top of Mt Buffalo, the caves offer a unique experience.
We recommend that you book with Bright Adventure Company if this is an adventure you are interested in taking.

Canyon Walk - Trip Advisors Travellers Choice
Our motel backs onto the beautiful canyon walk, which runs between Bright Township and the Oven’s river.
This walk takes you along the old pathways of which were built during the Gold rush era, its an easy walk for all ages and takes around 45 minutes to complete the full loop.
